As a vital part of the rebuilding community, we strive to offer you the best resale products, the best service, and the best people, day-in and day-out! If you can’t find it, let one of our friendly greenies know and we will get it for you. And on the off chance that we don’t have it, we will tell you who does.


TGP Store Staff!

It takes (6) tons of work behind the scenes to keep the store going each day. Be sure to say hello to our amazing staff that is answering questions, picking up donations, processing materials, ringing you up, answering the phone, and stocking the store. Catherine Crowell

Executive Director

Catherine (Cat) got involved in building construction as a student at the University of Florida volunteering with Rebuilding Together North Central Florida. After graduating, she came to serve in AmeriCorps to rebuild homes with Rebuilding Together New Orleans. After 9 years, she made the long journey of 10 feet to next door at The Green Project. Seeing the importance of building materials and the waste created after a disaster brings her to us to create new ways to think about our relationship with materials and our environment.


Erin Genrich

Environmental Education Coordinator

Erin is our educator extraordinaire that teaches recycling/reuse education to all ages from pre-k to senior centers because everyone can be an environmental steward! She is the friendly face you will see at many of our outreach events too. Her bucket list includes seeing Willie Ever-Lovin' Nelson in concert, is a fan of roads less traveled and cheese curds, and is often preoccupied with how to creatively reuse the paper towel rolls stashed under her desk.


Jamie Walker

Warehouse Store Manager

After working many years in Conventions, Sales, and Entertainment, Jamie moved to New Orleans and worked briefly with the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra. Jamie first joined the team with The Green Project as a Paint Recycler. He was promoted to Warehouse Store Manager in 2014.


Jordan Battiste

Assistant Warehouse Store Manager

Jordan first started at The Green Project with a summer internship program but was soon made a full time team member and then Assistant Store Manager. He was born and raised in New Orleans and is currently a student at Xavier University majoring in Management and Marketing. When he isn’t helping you in the store, he enjoys spending time in the outdoors and with friends.


Gene Allen

Acquisitions Manager

Gene was born and raised in New Orleans, and comes with a  background in construction and real estate. He is our logistics guru and has been managing all the incoming materials as well as our truck crew since 2010. His knowledge of building materials is extensive and he will be able to tell you what we can accept so give him a call!
