Learn how to make seamless floating shelves out of rustic, reclaimed wood from the Green Project! Floating shelves are great for adding storage to a space without crowding a room or feeling too bulky. They provide an aesthetic way to show off everything from books in your library to bowls in your kitchen.
In this workshop, we’ll cover the basics of cutting your lumber to length with a miter saw, sanding and finishing for a natural look, and installation methods including stud finding, leveling your shelf, and installing drywall anchors. We will use the keyhole method to hang the shelves which includes using a router.
Tools used:
Miter saw
Router
Sander
Each attendee will take home a shelf of their own!
