4 Ways to Help The Green Project During our COVID-19 Closure
The Green Project was created as a community paint recycling operation and persists only because we are a community-based organization. We can’t do what we do without our neighbors donating materials, our customers seeing the value in quality used goods and schools opening their doors to environmental education.
Today, we are calling on our community to come together in new ways as we navigate what COVID-19 means for the Green Project and New Orleans as a whole. We want nothing more than to bounce back stronger than ever once it is safe for all.
We can do this. Here’s how:
1. Hang on to the materials you want to donate.
We recognize that being unable to drop off your building materials or latex paint means a couple more weeks or months of storage.
One small step you can take is to hang in there with us and hang on to those materials. We will happily collect what we can when we re-open.
2. Purchase a Gift Card Now, Shop Later
You can support The Green Project today by purchasing a gift card that is redeemable in the Salvage Store once it is safe to re-open.
3. Purchase Paint & Brushes Online for Pick Up
*As of 3/27/2020, online purchases of everything except for gift cards has been paused.*
The Green Project’s one-of-a-kind, affordable and sustainable paint is available for purchase online. Simply place your order now and pick it up on Tuesdays & Thursdays from 11am-1pm. We’ll put it straight into your trunk!
4. Make a Tax-Deductible Monetary Donation
Our mission is to “cultivate a culture of creative reuse and build a marketplace for reclaimed materials.” This is understandably hard to due with our main program, the Salvage Store, closed to the public.
By making a small contribution, you directly support our ability to re-open our Salvage Store, keep our Environmental Education program running and continue our mission.
The Green Project is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization (EIN: 72-1259769). All donations are tax-deductible. No goods or services are provided in exchange for donations.
